Darlings! Happy Monday! I have part 4 of my 5 part beauty series attached for you to all see… we have finally hit the official first day of spring!! I am so excited to get back outside on bike rides and taking Miller for long walks… the promise of summer is right around the corner! Today I will be sharing more of my shower routine… enjoy!
ISO Color Preserve Cleanse is my shampoo of choice…leaves my hair feeling clean and not full of buildup
ISO Color Preserve Condition is an amazing conditioner that I use mostly on my ends to keep them feeling healthy
Feeling like I should be trying some of the other ISO products??!
thoughts?! anyone else use this line…
Devoted So Naughty Nude is my go to lotion- it has a slight bronzing agent and also had an amazing moisturizing effect!
I am a fan of having a fun shower gel from Bath & Body Works to keep things light and fun and ever changing!!
More on my beauty series later this week!
Beauty Series:: Part 3::
Hello Lovelies! Hope you are all staying warm and enjoying your week… we have been busy working on the house… I painted the basement craft room this past weekend- just decorating and rearranging… more on that to come soon! I have a few more products to share with you all today… Enjoy!
Versace Yellow Diamond is my favorite scent for the last few years… I like to switch it up but lately I have just been sticking with my go to scent!
Pau Mitchell straight works.. I have been using this as a smoother with my no heat hairstyling… just a super small amount is all I need for my long hair and it keeps it from feeling frizzy and having a million flyaway hairs… just don’t use too much or you will get the greased look… not a good look.
Organic coconut oil… this is my favorite go to way of deep conditioning my hair…. lately I have been using a mix of both coconut oil and olive oil and it has my hair feeling so soft and amazing
Aveda Curl Control is an old go to but still a favorite when I decide to use it… I use it as a second day curl styling trick… keeps my hair looking good long after the first day!
Hope you all have an amazing rest of your week and a fantastic weekend.. I will see you back here soon!

Beauty Series:: Part 2::
Hello! Can’t believe it is Wednesday already… this week is flying by with promise of Friday being right around the corner! I wanted to continue my beauty series for you all to enjoy.. please let me know what you think! I have been trying to lay low the last few day’s it has been so cold outside… just makes me want to snuggle and watch movies all day… I plan to make some homemade chili and perhaps a lasagna to get us through this cold weather… comfort food and soup always make me feel better! Hope you are all enjoying your week and have some fun activities planned for the weekend ahead!
Purity- my go to facial cleanser… I have been using this for a few years and I love the way it makes my skin feel… helps manage breakout’s and leaves skin feeling so soft!
Glam Glow- Amazing! This mud mask is truly amazing… when you put it on and see it cleaning out your pores right before your eye’s it’s just so crazy to actually see. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny in my opinion… who doesn’t love clear skin!
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is perfect to hide those pesky blemishes and just even the tone of your face… I use this in problem area’s and the coverage is flawless… it blends so well with my skin tone and feels so light and fluffy… stay’s on well for all day coverage!
After I have treated and cleansed my face I like to add a bit of color… I am a huge believer in high SPF on my face at all times in the sun… so when I tan my face is still way lighter than my body- I use Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess to even my face/neck out to match the tone of my body… it leaves a hint of shimmer and just makes me smile… easy way to make everything blend!
That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again soon!

60 Day’s Still No Heat::
Hey! Today I am excited to share it is day 60 of my no heat plan!! Still moving forward and loving the results… I am going to put myself out there for you all today… I have one of my night routines… which includes photo’s with no makeup… yes that is right… I am including photo’s with no makeup for the world to see… I have been breaking out due to going from the harsh winter to sunny warm Mexico for the last 2 weeks, getting home to the cold also means a shock to your skin… drying everything out and causing breakouts. I am usually pretty lucky in that department, but I am only human and breakout’s do happen… thank’s for stopping by darling! Enjoy!
On dry hair (preferably not newly washed) I coated my roots to tips with a mixture of half organic coconut oil/half olive oil… olive oil helping with silk and shine and dryness- coconut oil for moistening and protective coating (I am in no way an expert this is just in my own opinion) after coating I placed in a bun and covered for a minimum of 30 min… the longer you leave it the better!
After at least 30 min- wash hair with light shampoo and conditioner… brush out gently with a wide toothed comb, next divide hair into 2 sections and braid each side in a loose french braid… after which I cross over my head and pin to keep in place overnight…
Sorry no makeup and ridiculous hair calls for a crazy facial expression (please forgive me!)
Finish your nightly routine apply acne spot treatment, toner, moisturizer etc. Get your beauty ZZZZZZ’s and wake up feeling fresh and rejuvenated : ) Fast forward to the morning and start your routine… make-up applications, moisturizer, leaving your hair braided until your ready for the day! Take out the braids and comb through with fingers and enjoy! Loving this easy no heat, no product hair style!
Have a great rest of your day!

Part 1:: Beauty Series::
Hello Darling’s! Happy Monday to you all! I am sorry for being a bit MIA the last few weeks- Cory and I were in beautiful Puerto Vallarta MEXICO for a 2 week vacation! More on that to come :) I do want to share with you today a few of my go to beauty item’s- on vacation and everyday use back at home… I am trying so hard to get back into the swing of thing’s- it is soooo cold here! Hope you all had a lovely Valentines day and a great weekend- Cory and I stayed in and snuggled watching movies, just wanting to relax after the trip, made some steaks and veggies and I was at home- it felt good!! Enough of my babbling…
First is this amazing Paul Mitchell Texturizing Sea Spray- this was perfect to help me stick to my NO HEAT :) and made for an easy transition from the beach to nightlife!
Velocity- my go-to light-weight moisturizer since I was in high school- I love this Mary Kay product you don’t need much of it and its sooo light to wear…
Ulta Blue Bayou eye shadow… perfect for just a hint of color… when I am traveling I like to keep my makeup light during the day- sunscreen is usually my main product- but I like to add a little pop of color to help my eye’s stand out!
This is my go to MAC eyeliner brush- I use this when applying Blue Bayou as just a liner/pop of color!
Lancôme- Vintage Rose Lipstick- sticking with the minimum makeup look- this helps my lips from drying out and adds just a nice touch of color at the same time!
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
More of the beauty series to come… make sure to keep stopping by!

Hello Lovelies! First off I am going to apologize for the Instagram images that I will be including in today’s blog post… I am still working on getting my camera up and running for our Mexico trip! I am proud to announce it has been 32 days so far with no heat on my hair- that’s right no blow-dryer, no flat-iron, no curling irons, etc… trying to use minimal products and my hair is loving me for it! It feels healthier, silky and has more shine… at least I feel like it does. It get’s difficult at times I will admit… wanting those perfect curls back or that straightness, but it is dry enough in the winter so I plan to not fry it any more than I would have to! I am trying to make it as far as I can…wish me luck darling! Hope you all are enjoying this mid-week mark and plan to finish the week off strong!

December 20th- ????
Also been going with the natural look- little to no makeup- trying to let my face breathe… & take a much needed break!
See you soon Darling!
Happy Healthy Life::
Darling’s! Hope you are all staying warm, it was -2 this morning and that makes for a tough time getting out of bed… luckily a warm shower always seems to help! I have decided that with the spirit of staying in resolutions and healthy lifestyle choices that I will continue my healthy path that I started January of 2014- It has been a year and I could not be more proud of how far I have come! 20 pounds lost and still going strong… don’t get me wrong I of course had my bumps in the road- no one is perfect and I am far from perfect! I have decided to also make sure my hair is healthy. I am going to use no heat on my hair for as long as I can go! No hair dryers, straighteners, curling wands/irons, crimpers (do we use those anymore?) or diffuser’s… I know you think I have lost my mind! I removed all the bleach/blonde from my hair and went dark- closer to my natural color and I plan on not going back until I have to… save money and give my poor hair a break… hoping that this will make for a new and improved me! One little change can make a world of a difference… ill keep you posted as I go! Would love to hear your feed back and any ideas you have that you would like to share! Also anything in particular you would like me to talk about/post in the new year! Thanks lovelies!

Next… to pick out a new nail color…. hmmm what one would you pick?!
Braided Side Pony::
Hello! I hope to have more photos for this one soon- in the meantime I will just explain how to create an effortless look that can be dressed up or down… for the bridal shower I decided to try something a little different- creating a large french braid with a deep side part making sure to leave it loose for a more effortless feel… followed by a smaller french braid with the little hair left on the opposite side and draping that down around the back of my head and meeting at the other side:: I then decided to gather all the hair and the braids and bring into a side pony tail followed by wrapping a large piece of hair around the band to cover and securing with a bobby pin- Since I like a final put together feel for an event or party I curled the ends to make a more polished look- for a day-to-day I would stick with just the large side braid into a pony tail and wrap it- no need for the curling or extra small braid… I am one that wears my hair braided all the time- almost every day so if I can still braid yet change it up I am all for it!
Darling Bee Braiding::
Hey! I can’t believe it is thursday already! Only one more day separates from the weekend- and in summer there are so many fun things going on:: Family get together’s, boating, swimming, bike riding there is just always something to do in summer! Well I will get to the point- I realized that I have started a small collection of Essie Nail Polishes, they have so many amazing color’s that I just want to try them all…. but in the mean time I will have to stick with using the five I currently have… I was lucky enough to get three in my christmas present from Cory… I picked out like 10 and he bought his favorites :) so those are extra special to me!
